About the founder

Nathan Crilly is founder and director of Cambridge Creativity. He partners with other experts from the Cambridge innovation ecosystem, depending on the needs of each project.

Nathan is Professor of Design at the Engineering Department at the University of Cambridge, where he also did his PhD in user-centred design. In his academic role, Nathan conducts and manages research into how products, systems and services are developed, focussing on designers' creativity and users' experiences. This work is published in leading scientific peer-reviewed journals, and has also featured in the popular press and business press.

Nathan teaches design, creativity and communication at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He also developed and leads a CPD-certified six-week executive education course on 'Creativity, Problem Solving and Design Thinking', delivered through Cambridge Advance Online.
